About this Episode

On January 27th, 1959, nine certified Soviet mountaineers set up camp on a slope in the northern Urals. That night, they cut through their tent from the inside, walked out into minus-thirty-degree cold in their socks, and never came back. The Soviet investigation closed four months later. Cause of death: an unknown compelling force.

This is the case file.
